THE nWo BASELINE

Build 26 · September 3, 2026. A development checklist, not original-engine parity.

KO ONLY. Empty their health to win. No pins or submission wins. Blue bar = action/recovery readiness, not Spirit.

Playable now

SystemRing Riot implementation
StrikesTap STRIKE for quick jab, hold for heavy punch. Running strike knocks down. No spin kick. Close punches acquire a target; range and defense still matter.
DefenseBLOCK stops strikes; EVADE stops grabs. A 180 ms window reverses. Timings are OGB tuning, not measured nWo frame data.
GrapplesGrab, choose body slam/suplex/power slam. RUN Irish-whips; EVADE releases. These use authored root paths and generic imported clips, not paired wrestling mocap.
MovementWalk, run, rope rebound, corner climb, dive, climb-down. Missed dives cost recovery time.
RecoveryDamage lengthens down time; taps speed recovery. Hold RUN to stay down. Once ready, release to rise or STRIKE/GRAB someone close. Hold BLOCK while rising to crouch, then STRIKE low, GRAB, or EVADE-roll. Low hits daze.
Ground offenseSTRIKE a downed opponent; GRAB picks them up. Rising has a protected transition.
Roster/audioAll 14 Dance Game roster entries, selectable CPU, seven source-game songs, separate music/SFX volume and Next Song.

Missing or partial

Compared with the original WCW/nWo Revenge manual:

The GamesRadar guide documents playing dead. Our touch recovery controls adapt that idea; they do not reproduce the N64 inputs exactly.

Real-animation blocker

No genuine paired choke/chokeslam or suplex motion pack was acquired. Existing slams combine a generic throw with authored paths. Low strike blends imported jab/crouch poses. These are not captured wrestling moves.

The creator’s Paired Suplex Wrestling Animations supplies paired sequences. Its store listing is Unreal Engine format: purchase, license and browser-export suitability still need checking. No purchase was made. The free libraries and connected Drive folders searched did not yield a verified matching downloadable pair.

Fight/footstep samples: Kenney Impact Sounds, CC0. Included license. Characters and seven songs come from the owner-supplied Dance Game files. The songs are NOT open-source/CC0; original rights are unchanged.

Existing animation sources: owner-supplied Mixamo clips and Quaternius Standard Animation Pack. No Nintendo/AKI/THQ assets were extracted.

Validation covers GLB parsing, skins, bone-driven movement, combat, audio controls and scripted integration—not phone/browser visual playtesting.
